The little things do matter

The little things you do now might not be felt immediately but there is always a ripple effect.  I am sure many of you have done some things and wonder why you did them and other times is very ecstatic that you did. The things you doo maybe small and seem insignificant but you may not know the impact of what you do. Here are three instances out of the many I have and still experiencing.

One day I was coming from work and saw a Toyota Prius on the side of the road with the blinkers on. I was really funny what popped in my mind.  “I hope this car is not out of gas”, I thought. I drove up behind it and sure it was. There was a lady and three little children inside and I asked what happened. They told me they ran out of gas and the husband left to get gas. I told her I will see if I can find him. The sun was hot because it was summer.  I drove and did not find him. I went to two different gas stations and did not find him so I went back to the car and upon reach he was about to leave again for more gas because what he bought was not enough. I took him to the gas station and to my amazement he gave me a full tank of gas. We had a long conversation on where he is from and what he does. Apart from the gas, the adventure was worth it.

On a different occasion I was on my way from work and realized there was a Honda Odyssey at the red light, it then turned green ad I realized people were driving around it.  I pulled passed the van and then backed up. What had happened is that the lady is an older lady and she fell asleep and the light and when I backed up she woke up and drove off. I was glad the light was still green when she awoke.

Finally, the thing you do may prompt someone else. I was pulling up to a stop light a week ago and saw a car in the middle of the road with a younger guy in it. I thought he was in the line so I drove by him but realized he was not moving when I glanced through the rear view mirror. I backed up and asked if he was OK  He said the transmission went and he cannot move. I said OK  let’s push it out of the road at least. I asked if it ever happened and he said no.  OK, put the car In D3 and try it. He did it and was excited because the gears are there and he always wonder what they are for. I explained to him that he cannot drive to far and fast with it because it is a single gear and it will not change like the normal D4.
When you do good, never give up if you do not see immediate results, and if there are things that you started and have given up on, go give it another try, as long as it is not wrong. Who know, your ripple may be felt around the world.
